About this Session

Grief is a profoundly human experience—but it’s often invisible or avoided in the workplace. In library settings, where we serve diverse communities and hold space for others, our own experiences of loss and grief may go unspoken.

This session is a space to pause, reflect, and learn how we can respond to grief with kindness and clarity. Whether it’s bereavement, redundancy, the loss of a role or identity, or collective grief from a major change—this webinar will help you build the skills to offer meaningful support while respecting boundaries.

You don’t need to be a manager to make a difference. Every conversation counts.

Who It’s For

This session is open to anyone working in or with libraries, including team members, leaders, HR professionals, and those in public-facing or managerial roles. It’s especially helpful for those supporting colleagues through times of change or loss.

This session includes a discussion of grief and loss, including bereavement, personal transitions, and workplace-related grief. While we aim to hold this space with care and compassion, please be aware that some content may bring up strong emotions.
