About Me

I'm Helen, known as The Kind Brave Leader / The Kind Librarian.

I adore libraries and librarians, but I know firsthand that they can be challenging workplaces. While some librarians thrive, others feel stuck or unhappy. I've experienced both.

Rather than focusing solely on the negatives, I've studied and researched what makes some people flourish. By integrating kindness and wellbeing into libraries through training, coaching, consultancy, and community building, I aim to ensure all library staff thrive and all libraries become joyful places to work.

*When I say librarians, I mean everyone working in libraries. There's no room for gatekeeping here.

Along with the book, membership and group programme I am passionate about using coaching (both team and individuals), consulting and training to transform workplaces. I can come into your workplace (virtually or in person) and work with you to tackle the areas which may be limiting the kindness and wellbeing in your library.

On a 1-2-1 basis I can support you in finding your own wellbeing, helping you find the answers within if you are at a crossroads or if you are in a new role support you too.
