Teaching and learning in an online environment is an ideal way for lots of learners to access education - online learning can typically be accessed at the learner's convenience, can be open to learners from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but it can also feel disconnected.  Even in live synchronous teaching sessions, it can be difficult to gauge learner's engagement with the content, and there are often fewer opportunities to check in and reflect on understanding. In this session we will discuss and share some simple and effective ways to embed engagement activities and opportunities to reflect and check on progress.
